Aquarela is an independent studio based in Milan producing authorial and artistic content for cinema, brand and organization.

Jacopo Marzi




Film Director




Born in the thick fog of the Po Valley, he studied Film Direction at the European Institute of Design, where he is now lecturer in Video Strategy. In 2020, he was selected as one of the European talents at BDC Discoveries (Balcan Docu Center). His work has been premiered at national and international film festivals and events, including: Ji.Hlava IDFF, Astra Film Festival AFF, 70 Trento Film Festival, ZagrebDox Pro, Cinemambiente, Lift-Off Global, IDFA Market. Among others, he collaborates with National Geographic, Sky, and Canon Italia. Today, he lives in Piedmont’s countrysidme with his partner and their two children, working on his second feature film.






Davide Bertuccio




Photographer & Cinematographer




Davide is a documentary photographer and cinematographer, recognized among the 30 best emerging photographers in the world by PDN Magazine in 2021.

A photography graduate from IED and lecturer in photojournalism, he co-founded Aquarela Studio in 2023. His work, which explores themes of globalization, minorities and the environment, has won numerous awards by being exhibited at international festivals.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with National Geographic, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Vanity Fair and numerous other magazines. One of his photographs was selected by National Geographic as one of the 10 iconic images of 2020 and, in 2021, he was nominated as a Newcomer for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award.






Niccolò Ferrari




Strategist




Natural Born Communicator with experience in project and people management. Living in Milan, he has a past as communication coordinator in the fashion industry, as well as in sport events organization.

In 2019 he co-founded Borderless Collective, a community of creative people with the purpose of creating professional networks and delivering projects, while in 2024 he founded Borderless Factory, a Benefit Company rooted in Strategy, Communication, Learning.

Currently working as communication strategist for several brands and projects, he collaborates also with Schools and Universities (IED in Milan and Moodart in Verona). Podcaster by passion (and sometimes by work), he believes that telling stories is the most valuable way to create a positive impact.
